FASCINATING ENTERTAINMENT – SWIMMING POOLS AND TOBOGANS
AQUACITY is suitable for every age category and it is popular not only with local but also foreign visitors. The water center under the High Tatras is fully using geothermal energy of the Poprad drill and it is therefore not dependent on the seasonal climatic conditions. It is possible to take a rest here all year round, also in the case of unfavourable weather. Outer thermal swimming pools with a water temperature of between 36 and 38 degrees centigrade provide a special experience. Step by step, you may try whirling pools, spouts, water mushroom or swinging bell.
If lazy enjoyment of time does not satisfy you as you prefer adrenaline activities we can offer you another attraction – toboggans. CULTURE AND HISTORY
If you decided to spend your holidays in AQUACITY and you are fond of sightseeing, you can visit the centre of Poprad and Spišská Sobota with a rich history testified by unique historical sights. In the town square of Spišská Sobota, there is situated a marvel of historical architecture - the Roman Catholic Church of St George. You can also visit museums, gallery, early Gothic churches and belfries. From among other towns and places of interest situated in the vicinity of Poprad you can visit Levoča – the center of the Spiš region with numerous historical sights from the periods of Gothic and Renaissance. The Spiš region has been dominated by the Spiš Castle which is one of the biggest castles in the central Europe – it mounts over the whole region creating its typical panorama. In the town of Kežmarok and its historical square a Renaissance belfry and the castle of Kežmarok will definitely attract your attention. Discover a wonderful scenery of the National Park of Pieniny and the wild power of the mountain river Dunajec with its famous rafts. You will be enchanted by the charm of the castle of Ľubovňa of the 13th century and the open-air museum of folk architecture, surrounding caves or the chateau Betliar. PURE WATER
15 thousand years old water gushing from a depth of 1300 m has a temperature of almost 50 degrees centigrade. On account of its rich mineralogical composition comprising calcium, magnesium, natrium, potassium and carbon dioxide it is crystalline blue. It has curative effects for respiratory diseases and diseases of muscles, bones and joints, and arthrosis. It has favourable cosmetic effects, too. The purity of water is secured by the use of stainless materials and UV purification methods.
