Pension Skalna Ruza
The Pension Skalna Ruza is situated at the entry point of the Slovensky Kras National Park and is open all year round.
We offer accommodation of 2-bed and 3-bed rooms where an extra bed can be added.
Each of the rooms has an en-suite bathroom.
Four of our rooms have a fully equipped kitchen (including hob, kettle, and fridge) and also living area with a colour TV.
The Pension does not have its own restaurant, however, we do offer home made breakfast and the owners will be happy to cook your special meal on request.
You can buy food, cosmetics, fruit and vegetables, newspapers and magazines in the reception area.
There is car park for visitors use, a nice garden and sitting area with bar-b-que, atrium, and sand play area for children. The Pension is situated on many cycling routes to Slovensku Kras and historical Gemer. The area provides 500 km of marked cycling routes, a bike hire shop, tourist and cycle-tourist information, who organise cycling tours, and group cycling trips.
The area is famous for its many caves that can be visited in the national park; the Slovak natural inheritance of Domica, Aggtele, the Dobsina Ice Cave, the Ochtinska Argonit Cave and Jasovska Cave (famous for the biggest stalagmite in the world, confirmed by the Guinness Book of Records). You can also find many beautiful cultural remains: Castle Horka, Château in Betliar, the Miners Museum, Mausoleum Andrasio’s family, romantic churches and the Gothic Roads.
