The Low Tatras belongs to one of the most beautiful tourist regions of Slovakia. The highest peaks The Ďumbier (2043 metres) and The Chopok (2024 metres) are situated in the central part of the main crest. The Low Tatras centre, the Tále, is an attractive tourist region. It is characterised by meadows, steep braes and coniferous growth at an altitude of 1600 m, on the lower slopes these are replaced by dwarf pine and stony crests.

In winter the Tále is visited mainly by skiing and winter sports lovers. Spring, summer and autumn offer a wide range of various sports and other holiday activities.
